Why aliens will never contact us

Why should aliens contact us? Are we that special? I don’t think so. Let’s see if I change my mind.

1. We are not special. If there are aliens, there are thousands other worlds like us. So, we won’t be visited because there’s so much to visit. It’s safety in numbers.
2. Faster-than-light travel is not possible. If there are any aliens within our solar system, they might visit us. Or we might visit them, since it looks like we are the most advanced civilization in here. But, getting out of a star system (within the lifespan of an intelligent civilization) is not possible.
3. Aliens observe the earth for a few years, see what we are doing here, and take a hard pass.
4. There are no aliens, we are the only intelligent life in the whole wide universe.
5. We are classified as an endangered civilization, so an intelligent alien life has marked us as worthy of conservation. Other alien species can observe us at a distance, but never come near or contact us.
6. Earth is boring, there is nothing interesting going on here.
7. We are inside the body of a monstrous entity which eats entire star systems. It likes eating star systems with biological presence because those systems are extra crunchy, and it loves crunchy food, so it bites down specially hard on such systems and destroys biological lives. However, he was celebrating his graduation one night and got extra drunk. This was the only time in his whole life that he forgot to chew a piece of crunchy food and swallowed us whole. That is why we are the only system in here that has intelligent life. Furthermore, he had a hangover and a terrible case of diarrhea the next day. So, he vowed never to drink even a single drop of alcohol. Therefore, he will never forget to chew down on any star system with a biological life in the future. So, we will never be visited by an alien life ever. You might think that we should be able to wait for him to die and then maybe we can get out of his body and meet other alien lives, but those entities’ live longer than the entire lifespan of our solar system.
8. Earth and our star system was created as a DLC for a very big MMORPG. However, there was a major bug on the system during development and therefore the whole DLC with earth was scrapped. So, the developers haven’t added any other intelligent life to our part of the code and we are never going to be added to the main program.
9. Our universe exists in a single moment in time. This exact moment that I am writing this (or you are reading this, whichever is actually happening). All the particles in this universe are arranged, right now, in such a way that we have all these memories of things that we think have happened and dreams of future that we think will happen. But, the next moment, this configuration of the universe will be gone, this moment will be gone, and we will be gone. And the next configuration of our universe will take place with a completely different set of objects, with their own memories, dreams, and desires. Aliens will never visit us because we are not real and they are not real. We are just a snapshot in the long memory of this universe, a snapshot that will scramble into something else, something we cannot even begin to comprehend.
10. Who cares. I am bored and just want to finish this list. The last one got really deep and I don’t want to think about anything else right now. I am ending my list on a high with that amazing thought instead of trying to find something lesser in idea number 10.
